The Childrens Homes

The Acorns

This home is registered for 4 places for our younger age group.  Situated in a village on a bus route to our school and Preston City Centre.

This large detached double fronted property welcomed its first residents in 1999.  Set back from the road it has a good sized driveway and an extensive rear garden providing ample space for outside play equipment and leisure time.

 

 

Endora 

Registered for 4 places this handsome detached home built in 1927 is on the edge of the village with easy access to our school and Preston City Centre.  Secluded from the road by large conifers this house  offers a traditional homely setting with a lawned garden to the rear.   The home was opened in November 2000.

 

 

 Hutton House

Registered for 5 places this large detached house has four bedrooms and a self contained flat.  Opened in 1997 this home is within walking distance to an attractive village with bus routes to school and Preston City Centre.  There is a large garden  with separate areas for play, gardening and leisure.

 

 

 

The Adults Homes

We currently have 4 registered homes with CQC.

All of the homes are beautiful detached houses set in large grounds.

Each has been altered to meet the needs of the people who live there. They are all spacious with good quality communal areas.

All the bedrooms in the homes are adapted and individualised to meet the needs of the young people who live there.

Long Lane Farm  

This is a well appointed and attractively refurbished home, offering three individual bedrooms, a bathroom, separate toilet, family style kitchen/dining room and a large lounge.  We also have a separate annex specifically designed for one young adult which comprises of lounge/ dining area (with some kitchen facilities), bedroom and en-suite bathroom. This is an ideal placement for a young person who needs the opportunity to mix in a communal area and also the opportunity to have a quieter place to move to.  The established large secure rear garden provides an additional area for rest and leisure.

Higher Morris Farm

Restored and refurbished to a very high standard, this home provides five individual bedrooms, three bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, a separate dining room and three sitting rooms. This enables young people to have both space for solitude and for socialising. A large established secure garden is located at the rear of the home.

Dixons Farm

This property has stunning views over the Cuerden Valley parkland. The home offers six large individual bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, 2 lounges, one bathroom, two en-suites, small conservatory, and two large cellar rooms, all in the main house. There is an additional self-contained annex for one young adult comprising of a quiet lounge/dining area which is also available for other young adults to use, fully kitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.  The secure rear garden covers three quarters of an acre, having a lawned area and mature trees to provide interest.

 Fernleigh House

 This is a large, spacious detached modern home, comprising of 6 individual bedrooms- 4 with en suites, a large bright dining room with computer facilities for the young adults to use and double doors leading to the garden.There is a newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen and 2 lounges both of which have TV, Video and Music players. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 separate toilet and a separate shower room. The house has a laundry, an arts and crafts room, staff facilities and a large secure garden at the rear with a lawned garden at the front. The house is decorated in contemporary colours giving it a clean modern look. The en-suites have been furnished around the needs of the people who are to be using them and the furniture in the home is practical but homely. We employ the services of a gardening company to maintain the gardens to a high standard.
