You may come into either of the above  posts without any previous experience.  But dont’ be put off, you will receive training and support necessary for the position.  You will not commence work until you have completed a 2 week induction training course.

Within the terms and conditions of employment you will be required to complete a successful probationary period of 6 months to assess your suitability.

As part of your job you will begin, after 6 months, an NVQ in care which is fully funded by the company.

WHAT WILL I DO?

Residential Educator – 37 hour week. Based at one of our homes you will care for and support children aged between 7 – 18 who have severe learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and Autism.  Following a 24 hr rota you will work in the home and at our specialist school on shifts:

Early – 7:30 am to 2:30 pm

Late – 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

The rota includes weekends and a sleep-in duty – allowance payable £30 per sleep-in.

Salary for the post: £15,108 – £17,199 per annum.  Annual leave 30 days.

Life Skills Facilitator – 37.5 hour week. Based at one of our homes you will assist in identifying and meeting the independence, educational, social and emotional needs of each young adult.  Our young adults are all aged between 19-30.  You will encouragge and support the young adults to live ordinaary lives in the community.  Working on a 24 hr rota you will work shifts covering:

Early – 7.30am to 2:15pm

Middle and Lates  between 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

The rota includes weekends and a sleep-in duty – allowance payable £30 per sleep-in.

Salary for the post: £13,662 – £16,941 per anum.    Annual leave 30 days.
